The Creator Behind

Hi, I’m Sophie, the creator behind Doodad Studios. I independently run a small, UK-based handmade business specialising in memory keepsakes, fabric creations, textile design and fabrics.

Doodad Studios began after being made redundant as a surface designer - particularly, fabric design, after 5 years with that company. It was very clear to me that this is something I simply had to continue. It enables my creativity and being able to "think outside the box" in the best way! It has allowed me to design some wonderful things that has enabled sewists to create some wonderful things, too!

Naturally, being a textile designer - sewing became a way of life. 
 

Each keepsake is carefully handmade using clothing and fabrics that hold special meaning, transforming them into keepsakes that can be treasured for years to come. It’s an honour to work with such personal items and help preserve memories in a lasting, meaningful way.
 

What started as a creative passion has grown into a small business built on care, attention to detail, and love for meaningful handmade work. Every keepsake is made individually, with time and thought put into every stitch.
 

I take great pride in offering a personal and friendly service, treating every order with the same care I would give my own family’s memories. Your items are always handled with respect, and every keepsake is created with the intention of becoming something truly special to you.
